Board of DirectorsThe board of directors of the University at Buffalo Foundation, Inc. (UBF) assists the board of trustees in serving as the primary link between UB and Western New York’s professional and business communities as well as like communities across the region and the country, providing these communities with a better understanding of UB’s teaching, research, and public service mission and accomplishments. The primary goals and responsibilities of the UBF board of directors is to assist the board of trustees in their role to raise external and internal awareness of the need for and merits of private support; to assist the university in the development of gift potential and with the raising of private support; and to effectively carry out the board’s fiduciary responsibilities in managing assets received by and administered through the Foundation. Members of the board of directors may give advice and counsel to the board of trustees on any and all matters affecting the Foundation and may serve on various committees of the Foundation. Members of the board of directors of the University at Buffalo Foundation meet chief qualifications and responsibilities.
